PCRTA - SECRETARY'S REPORT The second 2009 Membership Meeting
of PCRTA was held June 9, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ingomar at 12:00 Noon. Fifty-four members & guests attended.
President Larry Russell & Jack White were the greeters. President Russell led the Pledge of Allegiance & gave the
invocation. After the baked ham meal, first time attendees were recognized. Those were Cindy Clapper from Preble Shawnee &
Mark McKinley from Eaton. Winners of door prizes were Pat Pheanis & Cindy Straszheim (Bob Evan's gift certificates)
& a PCRTA shirt to Betty Willis. Phyllis Turner was presented a certificate for work as PCRTA computer specialist for
24 years. During the short business meeting, the Secretary's & Treasurer's Reports were accepted, as presented
in the May 2009 Newsletter. William Phillips, ORTA District III Director, spoke on STRS possible changes for the future. PCRTA
member Dennis Parrish will attend the July 27 ORTA Training Workshop in Columbus on Local Chapter Websites. PCRTA shirts are
still available for purchasing. Eric Van Vlyman, representing the Dayton Alzheimer Organization, gave the program entitled
"Enhancing Your Memory". The Sept. 8, 2009 program will be "Home Schooling in Preble County". The
meeting will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church at Ingomar, as will all future meetings. Adjournment was at 2:05 P.M. Recording Secretary,
